FAQ’s

Getting Started

How does the process work?

It starts with a free consultation where we get to know each other: your business, your clients, your goals and your personality. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll move into a voice development session, where I ask you question, listen carefully, and start building a real sense of how you communicate. From there, I get to work, and you get to relax. You”ll receive your newsletter draft on an agreed schedule, review it, share any feedback, and I’ll refine it until it feels exactly right. Then it’s ready to send.

How do you learn my voice?

This is honestly my favorite part of the process. Before I write a single word, I spend dedicated time learning how you think, how you speak, and what matters most to you. We’ll have a voice development session where I ask thoughtful questions about your business, your clients, and your personality. I may also ask for examples of emails you’re written, social posts you love, or even just a description of how your best clients would describe you. The goal is always for your newsletter to feel like you wrote it on a really good day.

Do I need to come up with content ideas?

If something exciting is happening in your business, such as a new service, a client win, or a story you’ve been meaning to share, I always love hearing it and working it in to your e-newsletter. If there is a current topic in your field that would benefit your clients, let me know and I will research it into a valuable informative article. The more you share, the richer your e-newsletter becomes and the more connected your clients feel toward you.

Turnaround & Approvals

How long does it take to receive my e-newsletter draft?

For ongoing clients, drafts are delivered according to a schedule we agree upon together a the start of our work – typically 7-10 days before your planned send date. This gives us plenty of breathing room for revisions and approvals without any last-minute scrambling. Rush turnarounds may be available on a case-by-case basis, just ask.

How do revisions work?

Every package includes a set (or unlimited) number of revisions rounds, and I take every note seriously. If something doesn’t sound like you, feels off, or simply isn’t quite right, tell me. That’s what the revision process is for. I want you to feel genuinely delighted with every issue, not just satisfied. In my experience, most e-newsletters come together successfully within one or two rounds of feedback. Whatever it takes, we will make it work.

What if I don’t like what’s written?

First, that’s okay, and it won’t hurt my feelings. Writing for someone else is a craft, and occasionally the first draft misses the mark. That’s precisely why revisions exist. If a draft doesn’t feel right, share your honest feedback and I’ll go back to the drawing board with fresh eyes. My goal is never to defend my work, it’s to get it right for you. In the rare case that we find ourselves consistently misaligned, we’ll have an honest conversation about fit. Your satisfaction always comes first.

Practical Details

Which email platforms do you work with?

I deliver clean, formatted copy that works beautifully with all major email platforms, including Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Flodesk, and ConvertKit. If you use a different platform, just let me know and I will format accordingly. If you are bot sure which platform is right for you, I’ll be happy to offer a friendly recommendation during our consultation.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you can pause or cancel anytime. I believe in earning your business every single month, not locking you in. Packages are billed on a monthly basis, and you’re free to cancel with reasonable notice, without hoops or hard feelings. My hope, of course, is that you’ll never want to, but the choice is always yours.

What if my business is very niche? Will you understand what I do?

Part of my process is becoming curious about your business. Whether you’re explaining the benefits of wellness coaching approaches, the philosophy behind a clutter-free home, or the best strategies of animal care, I’ll ask questions and do my homework. Your clients don’t need me to be an expert in your field, they want to know that you are. They need your e-newsletter to feel warm, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. That part I can deliver.

Still have questions?

I’d love to hear them. Every business is a little different, and there’s no question too small or too specific. Reach out anytime. I promise a warm, prompt, and helpful response.
